What do you have to change about yourself before you can change the world?

I would have to say that we should all help out in the community more.  I do over the summer, but I wish that I could help out more during the school year, but my parents want me to focus more on school.  If we all helped out more the communities in which we live our communities would be a much better place, there would be less crime and the communities would look a lot better.

My Inaugaration Speech

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 12:27 pm on Thursday, January 22, 2009

I stand before you today, not only as the 44th persident of these great United States of America, but as an American Citzen someone just like you.  And I thank you because without you I would be no where.  My administration, you, and I have tough challenges ahead, challenges that many a time have gone overlooked by past administrations, challenges that we must face together.  Some of these challenges are the horrible economy , the War in Iraq, Un- affordable Health Care, schools that aren’t preparing the children of this country for this century, and many, many more.  I know that you have so much hope in me, but I must assure you that I am no miralce worker.  These obtsacles and challenges ahead will need a lot of time and commitment, time and commitment that I am more than willing to put in.  I also need to let you know that these problems may not be fixed in my first term or my second, these are problems that will continue to grow if they are not maintained correctly.  As I have said before I cannot make the problems we face disappear, but I am making clear today that I will try the best I can to make them have not as big of a negative impact on the lives that we live each day.  Thank you I will not let you down.  God bless America!

Friends Make You Who You Are

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 3:37 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2009

Friends are the people who make you who you are, but everyone looks at friends in different ways and this is how I look at friends.

Some qualities that I look for in a friend is some one that is loyal, that is nice, that will always be there for you to have a shoulder to cry on.  I like these qualitites because these are qualities that I would like everyone to see in me.

I love to do tons of fun stuff with my friends, such as going to the mall, to the moveis, a school dance, or even just hanging with them where ever because if they are your true friends it doesn’t matter where you are you will always have a good time.

True Friends (150 Characters)

If you had a really close friend, but then they moved and the only time that you had contacted them was an email that they didn’t ever return would you still consider them a friend?

Answer

The quality of my life is determined by my____?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 7:58 am on Friday, January 16, 2009

The answer to that question is simple for me.  It is ah-viously because of my family and the way they treat me and the way I treat them.  If we didn’t get along at home then I probably wouldn’t get along with a lot of the people at my school.  For them I am exernally great full.  My family makes me who I am today and tommorow and yesterday, without them I would be no where, so all I have to say is thank you.

A Change!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 7:52 am on Friday, January 16, 2009

A small specific change that I can make that will help make the world a better place would be to stop using arisol hairspray, which is very harmful to the ozone layer.  If I use a plastic bottle of hairspary I will no longer be putting harmful chemicals in the air.

This a great example of how doing small things can and will change the world for the better.

One More Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 7:08 am on Wednesday, January 14, 2009

If you have one day with a dead realative what would you do and who would it be with?

For me that answer is simple, but for others it may not be. My answer is my Mi-Mi who was my mother’s mother.  She was a great person who lovedme more than anyone will ever know she lived kind of far away so it made it hard to go and visit her, but I cherished all the time I spent with her.

I would probably spend most of the time catching up on what she missed while she was gone, but then we would do something else that is fun too.

What would you do with your loved one and who would it be?

Napoleon and Louisiana

General Napoleon Bonaparte has control over France and is trying to conquer many other nations around the world.  He has gone far in succeeding this goal, but the small colony of Saint Domingue has rebelled.  Slaves have thrown over the government.  A slave going by the name of Toussaint L’Overture has taken Leadership over the island.  Napoleon has wanted to take control over Louisiana for a while now, but this is in the way, so he has decided to send Troops over to the island, but to his surprise there were many troops there ready to fight the French army, which has put a strain on his plans to take over France.

Cat’s Problems

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 6:15 am on Monday, January 12, 2009

67 new cats are now in the Meriden Humane Society and have been in cages for the last 8 months because the owner has refused to give up custody.  The cats were found in an apartment with very bad conditions that were unstable for the cats to be living in.  The cats are all in bad condition with horrible diseases and the Humane Society staff has tried to treat the cats.   The Shelter is over capacity, but they won’t turn away the cats because of the No Kill Policy.   They have a court date coming up on the 21st of January and that will hopefully help settle this problem.  If the shelter did have custody than many of the cats would have homes.
