President-Elect Letter
For class this week we had to write a letter to the President-Elect telling him on what we feel that the first issue we should address is and here is my copy of my letter. Tell me what you think of my letter by leaving me a comment.
Dear President-Elect O’Bama,
First off I just wanted to congratulate you on the fine path that lead you to where you are now. I know that it must have been hard for you to get to where you are, one of the best and most powerful positions in the world. I liked the way that you ran your campaign and when I am old enough to run for President I would like to have some of the same policies that you do because, well, they obviously worked. You did a great job on your campaign trail and I hope, well the people of this great country hope to continue to do so. Thank you for making the history that I thought that this country needed.
But the reason for me writing this letter is not to just congratulate you on the fine job you did, it was to inform you on what I feel the first issue that you should address is. I think and what everyone else thinks you should address is the economy because of the bad shape that it is in. Also, because the economy is something that affects everyone everyday of their lives.
You should address this first because we all take part in it and if a couple of people are hurting it will impact the economy and when more people get impacted it will hurt everyone. Also, the seven-hundred billion dollar bail out plan I believe is working, but very slowly. I think that it would work faster if CEO’s of huge companies were not giving themselves fifty-thousand dollar raises and sending their employees on spa trips. A solution to this problem would be to have all of the companies receiving money from the bail out program report what the use the money on to stop them from using the money on whatever they want while the rest of us are all suffering.
We all are suffering except for the extremely wealthy and I feel that this should stop and have the rich not. Those people are taking the money that we give them and not putting it to good use, only to make us suffer even more. I feel that it is not fair to everyone else and I’m sure that you will agree. Thank you for taking the time to read my letter and I really hope that you will listen to my words and put them to use in you time as the President of the United States.
