Happy Halloween!  Today is October 31st a.k.a. Halloween, which is a festival/holiday that we celebrate here in the good ole’ U.S. of A.  On Halloween we dress up in costumes and go door to door knocking on people’s doors or ringing people’s doorbells and saying trick-or-treat and they give us candy.  What I think people are so attracted to Halloween is because we all dress up and for one night only we can be something that we are not.

 trick or treat by extraFunky.

Kids Trick-Or-Treating

Some history behind Halloween is it started about 2,000 years ago by some people called the Celts in Ireland.  They considered October 31st New Year’s Eve.  If you want to learn more about the history of Halloween you can visit this website and read the heck out of it.

I personally LOVE Halloween.  I think that it is fun to be apart of anything that a lot of people do (that’s why I love blogging).  BUT, this year I have to go in a wheel chair because of my foot. **Chrissy’s Foot Update I went for an X-Ray Yesterday and they wouldn’t read the X-Ray until today, but I just got the news like literally 1 hour ago and…Drum Roll please… IT’S NOT BROKEN!!!!!!!!! YEAH! I’m sooooo happy, but you think that they would have given me an X-Ray the day that I went to the emergency, but no they don’t do things that make sense in the American Health care system.** ANYWHO,  I am really looking forward to going trick-or-treating tonight with my BFF (and sadly my brothers and like 50,000 (okay maybe that’s an exaggeration) of their closest friends).

I know that I’m probably going to get a ton of comments asking what I am going to be for Halloween and the answer is a Jonas Brothers Groupie and the wheel chair actually works because I’m going to change my description from a Jonas Brothers Groupie who love Joe Jonas to a Jonas Brothers Groupie who love Joe Jonas and was chasing after him and fell and sprained her ankle.  I think that that’s perfect don’t you?

If you don’t know who the Jonas Brothers are you can go to their website and read all about them.

Excellent post Chrissy! I love Halloween too.. and I see so much people have written about it in their posts. But you have informed us all really well and showed a wonderful picture and awesome site with exciting info! :P
I cannot believe for a second that 2000 years ago Halloween started! Wow.. I can’t believe that is how long ago it started and it is probably the longest ever tradition to last, but correct me if I’m wrong?
Thanks for sharing, you’ve be taught me heaps, even though I don’t celebrate Halloween because in my religion it isn’t very necessary-well, that’s another thing you’ve learnt about me!!
I’m really glad your leg isn’t broken! Well that’s a heck of great news don’t you think? Hope your okay.
Stay in Touch
Hold on… this is cool! Can you see in my comment how it is like a pattern, biggest sentences to smallest? Not including this? WOW!!
