Bullying

I recently came upon a blog with a post about bulling which is something that I a passionately against. So……… I left this as a comment….

Lisa,
I can really relate to the way that you felt as a child. I to hated to be teased and there were many pictures of me upset when I was younger.  Your daughter shouldn’t react to the way that the bullies are treating her, but if she really wanted to say something then she should say thank you when the insult her and then the bullies won’t be expecting that and then they will just leave her alone.

                  Thanks a Bunch,

Poverty

Poverty. It is one word that can change some one’s life. What you once had can become just a memory.  This week I played a game about a girl in poverty in a village in Nepal.  This girl went and she changed her village for the better, by making a community center, which helped out everyone in the entire village, and she got a goat that would help her and her family have milk and food to eat.  This was very similar to the video that I watched about the “Girl Effect”.  In this video it describes about what can happen when you give a girl and education.  in the long run, if you give a girl an education she can change her country and if that happens in every country you can change the world.  To read more about the girl effect go to this website.

Election 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 3:53 pm on Monday, October 20, 2008

In the 2008 election I would support John McCain.  I would support him because he believes that it is parents own choices to send their children to schools that will best educate them.  This is important to me because I also believe that education is important to everyone because what they learn in school will set them up for what they will make of themselves in the real world.  Another reason why I would support John McCain is the democrats want gun control, while McCain believes that it is the right to law abiding citizens to bear arms.  This is important to me because I also believe as a second amendment right anyone who follows the law should be able to protect themselves during an attack on their family.  I really think that McCain will be better for our country in the long run.  For a list of John McCain’s policies go to this website.  For a list of Barack Obama’s policies go to this website

Who will you support?
