Don’t Forget

Demi Lovato’s new album, Don’t Forget, came out September 23.  This album is definitely pop with more rock than I expected.

The album’s first single “Get Back” has done great on I-tunes and has had over 3,000,000 views on you tube.  I like this song because most songs these days are about breaking up, but this song is about getting back with someone you lost.

The song’s title track “Don’t Forget” I LOVE.  It is a very emotional song and you can hear it in her voice.  It is about remembering things about a person that you love and that you will never forget and that you should never forget about the times that you shared. I can really relate to this because it happened to be

My ultimate favorite song is “Leave it on the Line” featuring the Jonas Brothers.  It is a song about a couple who are having a hardship with their relationship and the call each other basically leave it on the line with their problems  and tomorrow they should all be better.

The only song that I didn’t really like on this album is “Two Worlds Collide”. I’m sorry and no offence to Demi, but I don’t like songs that go La Dee da Dee da. It’s just not my type of music.

I really liked this album and I suggest that you go out and pick up a copy! B+

A Little Bit About Me

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 5:01 pm on Thursday, September 25, 2008

I like to think of myself as a very interesting person. If you so choose to think of me that way it is up to you, but in order for you to make up your mind I have to tell you a little bit about me.

Color of hair: Brown(I know not very interesting :( )

Color of eyes: Hazel

Glasses: Yes

Braces: No

Siblings: Yes, Andrew, Adam (both younger)

Pets: Yes, Cat named shadow and fish

Other things: I have a huge obsession with the Jonas Brothers.  I can’t stand Hannah Montana, but I love Miley Cyrus.  Some people say that she is the same person, but Hannah Montanna is ALL pop and Miley is like Pop rock crossovers.

So what do you think am I interesting enough for you!?!?!?!?!? (comment with an answer)

I don’t know what else to write about so BYE!!! <33

The Beep That Adults Can’t Hear

This is so cool.  There is this beep is so high pitched that adults can’t hear it, but it depends on how old you are.  You can listen to these beeps to see if you can hear them.  This beep is very popular for kids who like to text during class, but you have to be very careful about it because some adults can still hear it. If you want to see if you can hear it click on the link and listen to the download.

What I Remember About 9/11

Filed under: Uncategorized — Chrissy at 4:15 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2008

I remember a lot about 9/11.  I was in the first grade and I was all excited because it was my friends birthday.  I was in the library when I first heard about about this tragic  event.  I was standing in line to check out my book and i saw two teachers, my school social worker and my soon to be second grade teacher, turn on the television in the library. I saw a plane crash into a skyscraper and I immediately started to question what was going on because normally planes don’t crash into buildings.  The day went on as usual, but the thought of what I saw in the library that morning still was in the back of my mind.  The teachers kept going in and out of the classrooms whispering in one an-other’s ears.  At one time the principal came in with a letter to all the teachers.  It was a very confusing day for me and when Igot home it was even weirder.  When I turned on the television all that was on every single channel was the same image that I saw earlier that morning.  All the news stations were having continuous coverage about what was happened that day and it was on every station.  My mom then turned off the television and explained to me what happened.  So many emotions were going through my mind I didn’t know what to think.  It was by far the most confusing day that I ever went through and still remains to this day.

I can’t even imagine what was going through the people minds that were stuck in the buildings.  And on top of that what happened to the families of the people that were in the buildings.  Those people must be emotionally and mentally scarred for their entire life.  I realize that I am really lucky to have the ones that I care about unharmed and unscathed from that tragic event.  This day has truly changed America and I feel that because of that day we became closer as a nation.  This day has changed us as a nation.  Even today you can go on the internet and find news on 9/11.  New York City has been notorious for mid-day muggings and being the most cold-hearted city in the nation, but on 9/11 they became close, tried their best to remove people from the rubble, and bring people to safety.

But one question still remains, Did you feel safer before or after 9/11?
